HABAŞ in Germany with new buses and trucks
Passenger cars will be offered with three different engine options: hybrid, plug-in hybrid and gasoline. While the designs of the passenger cars are realized within HABAŞ, the company cooperates with Volvo for the engine. Accordingly, the new models were unveiled at the IAA Transportation Fair.
Steel Power-e, HABAŞ’s fully electric truck, was developed with the goal of zero carbon emission. Equipped with a 410 kW electric VOITH engine producing 3100 Nm of torque, the vehicle can be used for demanding operations such as construction, transportation, distribution and port services.
Comfort City H2 is a city bus powered by hydrogen technology. Using hydrogen from renewable energy sources, the vehicle contributes to improving air quality by producing only water vapor emissions. It also has a range of over 1000 kilometers and can be refueled in less than 10 minutes.
On the other hand, Alfa City-e, developed for urban transportation, is equipped with a 250 kW electric VOITH engine producing 2805 Nm of torque and 282 kWh capacity LFP lithium-ion batteries. The zero-emission and environmentally friendly ALFACITY-e will be used in urban transportation.
On the other hand, Honda’s factory in Gebze Şekerpınar, which HABAŞ acquired, will be turned into a passenger car production base. The factory’s production capacity will be increased to 75-100 thousand units and two different models, sedan and crossover, will be produced here. Towards the end of 2025, these models are expected to be introduced.
